Masako Ichihara

An expert in Japanese climate change litigation, Masako originally majored in the Japanese Constitution and Environmental Law. She obtained a Ph.D. in Global Environmental Studies at Kyoto University in 2021, as well as a Juris Doctor at the University of Tokyo in 2007. Her dissertation concerns Japanese climate change litigation. She also serves as a Japanese Rapporteur at the Global Perspective of Corporative Climate Legal Tactics, initiated by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (https://www.biicl.org/projects/global-perspectives-on-corporate-climate-legal-tactics). She can use/understand basic French and German.
